본관(本貫), 관향(貫鄕), 고향(故鄕)
 
 
 


"자네, 본관은 어디인고...?"
"자네, 관향은 어디인고...?"
"자네, 고향은 어디인고...?"
이상의 질문은 '당신은 어떤 물에서 놀았느냐?'를
묻는 말이다.
 
본관과 관향 그리고 고향은 각각
 
다른 뜻을 가지고 있는 말들이다. 
정서가 무르익었던 곳, 꿈이 펼쳐지던 곳, 
나의 앙금이 만들어진 곳,  
그런 곳을 우리는 마음의 본향(本鄕)이라 한다.
고향은 사람에 있어서 원산지를 증명하는 상표이다.  
본관(本貫)과 관향(貫鄕)과 고향(故鄕)에 대해 알아보자.
 
본관(本貫)은 시조 할아버지가 성씨(姓氏)를 가지고 자손을
퍼뜨리게 한 이를테면 창업지(創業地)를 말한다. 
"김해 김씨"하면 김해가 그들의 본관이다.  
최초의 원산지 표시로서 지금도
가문간(家門間)의 편지를 주고
받을 때는 모관후인(某貫後人)이라며
?반드시 본관을 밝힌다.
(예 : 김해 김씨의 경우.
"金海後人"이라고 쓴다)
관향(貫鄕)은 윗대 조상들이 한 곳에서 
누대에 걸쳐 살아 내려온 동네를 말한다.
ㅡ 농사짓는 것 보다 월급쟁이 벌이가 낫다 하여
떠난 고향 동네,
ㅡ 7대조 할아버지가 그 동네로
이사 온 이래 200년 세월이...
내가 그곳에서 태어난 것은 말할 것도 없고 
?큰집도 당숙네도 있고,
선산(先山)도 있으며 시제(時祭)도 거기서 뫼신다.
 
관향은 어쩌면 본관보다 더한 살아온
내력으로서의 고향이다. 
이 시대 부모들은 먹고 살기 위해 비록
고향을 떠나서 살지만
자식들이 아버지의 고향을 낯선 곳으로
여기는 데는 떠나 사는
부모들의 가슴이 모두 무겁다.
고향(故鄕)은 듣기만 해도 가슴 설레는 
말로 아련한 추억으로서 차라리 ' 마음' 이다. 
술래잡기, 잣치기, 연날리기, 썰매타기, 수박서리,
 메뚜기잡기, 초가지붕 끝의 고드름 따먹기 등등...
 
태어나 처음으로 만나 본 자연, 그 질박한 맑음,  최소한 
사람의 도리를 가지게 만들어준 도덕, 
?꾸미지 않은 천연색 !!
수구초심(首邱初心)... ! 
여우도 죽을 때는 제 태어난 쪽으로
고개를 돌리고 죽는다던가 ?
자신이 태어난 곳으로 죽는 날까지 
그리워 못내 잊지 못하는 곳이다.

★제1차 세계 대전의 원인

한 靑年에 의해서 暗殺된 것이 原因이 되었다.
오스트리아 政府는그 犯行의 責任을
 "쎄르비아 政府"에 묻자,
이것이 도화선이 되어 그해 7月末에
第1次大戰이 일어나게 되었다
. 한 우매한 靑年 暗殺犯이
世界大戰을 일으키게 해
37,513,000명의 사상자를 냈다.
